About New Life Community Church

New Life Community Church is associated with the denomination known as The Church of The Nazarene. This denomination of about 1.5 million members has over 12,000 churches in nearly 150 different world areas. The Church of the Nazarene was founded in 1908 in Pilot Point, Texas, comprised of several independent Christian groups who came together around a common vision with two main distinctives: 1) The belief that we as Christians can live a righteous life that honors God and is pleasing to Him, and 2) A genuine compassion for ministry to those less fortunate than we are.

New Life Community Church is an exciting congregation that has endeavored to remain true to those roots. NLCC was birthed in August of 1995 through the vision of two brothers: Denny Dillon, the founding Pastor, and his brother Tim, a Houston Police Officer. On July 9, 1995, Denny and Cindy Dillon moved from a successful ministry in Des Moines, Iowa to Tomball, Texas, with their two sons Matthew and Tim. The two families selected the name, New Life Community Church, based on favorable responses from a survey of residents in our community. Pastor Denny began a Home Bible study Group to reach out to neighbors as they rotated the meeting place between their Oak Bend Place apartment and Tim and Diane’s home in the Rimwick Forest subdivision.

In it’s early days our congregation grew to occupy a meeting place at the Tomball Community Center, moving to a larger room as we continued to grow. When the Community Center became unavailable on weekends we were given the opportunity to hold services in the fellowship hall of the Living Stones Church in Decker Prairie. We owe so much to Pastor Don White and the wonderful people of Living Stones.

On December 22, 2002, our New Life Community family moved into it’s current facility at 32822 SH 249, in Pinehurst. These are exciting days as we continue to experience God’s presence and blessing. The two comments we hear most often from new families are, “The people are so friendly,” and, “We really sense God’s presence here.” We are humbled by those statements and want to steward well God’s activity in our midst. The Lamb of God Who said, “Behold, I make all things new,” wants to do something powerful and new in your life. Please come and allow us the privilege of serving you.
